Hello, and welcome to my first Blog EVER from van Walraven Goudsmid!
My name is Peter, and I am the mind, hands and heart of van Walraven Goudsmid. I humbly thank you for taking the time to read these newsletters and participate in my story as I build this Jewellery Empire! I have no idea how to make it happen but mark my words; it will happen. :)
For those just meeting me, I like stones, facts and bike rides in the city. A simple man with artistic hands and big dreams; a pleasure to meet you! I began my career as an artist long before I knew what art was, back when drawing, wondering and playing were all the same. I took that imagination with me as I discovered the world and all its secret treasures while studying geology and space sciences. Curiosity should have killed me several times over had it not been for the several horseshoes I apparently have up my rear according to my Mom.
Jewellery was where those two worlds collided for me, art and creativity with science and curiosity. Gemstones and rocks always captured my attention and geology only deepened my appreciation for the natural world. I wanted to share that wonder, the art of nature and the stories written in stone. Horseshoes or not, I have been very lucky to find a way to make a living from what I love. I was once told that there is wisdom in beauty; I believe minerals are one of this world's proteges.
I hope you enjoy my work and artistic ventures, and I thank you for your time here in this sliver of the universe.

There will be more, so much more; check social media (Yeah, I know it's been dead, but you know I rather just create, than write and photograph what I create). Bare with me; one day, I plan to hire someone to do this, so I can spend more time creating. While a jewellery empire is a goal, I have even bigger plans after that.
